Sunny
Ray's Nursery, LLC.
Greetings All:
We
have finally broken the technology barrier with a web site!
And
yes, we have even changed our oil lamps over
to those new florescent,
swirly bulbs also.
In all seriousness, we are all about staying
on the edge of the newest and greatest. Our efforts,
up to
this
point, have been focused on the construction and tweaking of our
facility and searching out great plants to
offer. Now we are
ready to unleash our availability into the world.
Sunny Ray's
Nursery is a wholesale nursery that emphasizes on offering plants
which fall under the
gerneral guise of being new, under used or
forgotten. Too often plants become so mainstream they create
a
monoculture in our landscapes due to overuse (Red Maple being a prime
example). This repetition of the same
species and cultivars
lead
to an increased potential of pests devastating entire
portions of our
country (Emerald Ash Borer in Michigan, American Elm in the Northeast).
Not to mention the general
landscape becomes drab and predictable when
the same plant is used in a 100 house
succession.
By offering
the mixed palette outlined above, we hope to encourage and facilitate
this diversity idea. The plants we offer are not SO new their
performance has not been adequately evaluated, but new enough to draw
those plant lovers into your garden center or landscape firm.
When
we say quality is our goal, we mean it! All of our containers
are
micro-irrigated to reduce disease pressure and
increase our ability to
monitor and adjust their nutrient and water needs. Our plants
are
maintained with high quality garden centers in mind. We
understand your customers want to see that perfect plant and SRN is
here to deliver it to you.
We welcome visitors by appointment.
It is alwas a pleasure to talk shop with other interested
parties. Because our nursery is so small, we can help you
arrange
additional visits with other nurseries in our area, to make your time
count.
Just ask.
Please feel free to
contact us for an appointment, question/comment or
ORDER (we
encourage those).
Best Regards,
